Bozek Orthodontics is celebrating 50 years in business this year! Since its beginnings in 1968, Bozek Orthodontics has been a leading provider of orthodontic services in the Burlington and Waterdown communities helping tens of thousands of patients achieve their best smiles!
Celebrations are underway at the Burlington and Waterdown offices. The Bozek Orthodontics Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds will be featuring moments, memories and photos of past and present for everyone to enjoy. Check them out and participate in the celebration.
“This is an incredible milestone and one that wouldn’t have been possible without the loyalty and trust of our patients and local dental colleagues, the dedication of our employees and the support of the communities in which we work,” said Dr. Ray Bozek, founder of Bozek Orthodontics. “I’m so proud of where we’ve been and where we’re heading.”
Dr. Ray opened the doors to Bozek Orthodontics in 1968 in an office on Gore Street (now Lakeshore Rd), in downtown Burlington, with three employees. Renowned as an expert in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Ray’s practice was built on this excellent reputation and his genuine love of helping patients achieve life-changing smiles.
Joined by his son, Dr. John Bozek in 1996, this father son team continued to devote themselves to excellence in their field, and providing the best patient experience in a friendly and fun environment. The original Waterdown office opened in 1999 and the new office on Hamilton Street continues to serve the Waterdown community today, along with the Burlington office now located at 4300 Upper Middle Drive. Dr. Ray Bozek, always a presence in the business, officially retired at the beginning of 2017.
“It really is rewarding to carry on what was started by my father 50 years ago and even more amazing to be helping the second and third generations of many families,“ said Dr. John Bozek. “I’d like to thank everyone who has been part of these 50 years and we look forward to serving you for many more years to come.”
Dr. Melissa Milligan, B.Sc., D.D.S., M.S.D., F.R.C.D. (Canada ), “Dr. Mel”, joined the Bozek team in 2016. Originally from Toronto, she received her dental degree from the University of British Columbia and her speciality in Orthodontics at the University of Toronto. Currently, Dr. Mel also teaches in the undergraduate orthodontics department of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto.
From day one, Bozek Orthodontics has been dedicated to making a positive impact on the patients they serve and on the Burlington and Waterdown communities with a commitment to several sports leagues, community programs and not for profit associations focused on the development of healthy children and families. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, Dr. John and his wife Jennifer have started a Family Endowment Fund through the Burlington Foundation so their support and gratitude to the community can live on forever.
